Came at around 11pm and there was a short line. It moved quickly and we did not have to wait that long for our food maybe 5-7 mins. There is benches you could sit at but no tables just took my food to go and It stayed warm since I had a long drive. I got a lengua burrito and it was very delicious the meat was cooked very well. Definitely recommend trying there burritos!

What's great find for lunch. They have their own parking lot so you don't have to find parking on the street. Guy inside was nice, I wasn't sure what I wanted so I went with Carne Asada, Chicken and Carnitas tacos. You get a ton of meat, onions and cilantro. Taco shells are soft but crunchy. Green salsa was perfect not hot. They also added marinated onions, carrots and radishes. Next time I'm in the area I will be stopping in. There burritos looked big.

Guadalajara Taco Truck is an All-Time Favorite! Been grabbing my extra crispy carnitas tacos here for over 20 years! Dependably delicious!! Parking can be scarce but the carnitas tacos are divine! Service is great also, especially given how popular they are. I love grabbing my tacos, and "going."

Saturday around 9:30pm. There was a short line but it moved quickly. 3 tacos and a 20 oz horchata was $14.50 Probably took about 5 minutes to get our food. It was a lively Saturday evening. People in line were having a good time, but it wasn't so crazy that I couldn't hear my conversation. There are benches to sit, but no tables. I don't know if that's because they get stolen or so people will leave. Either way, my friend and I sat and ate our food with our plates on our laps. Food was decent. Tacos are on flour tortillas. Carne asada fries uses nacho cheese which was a little disappointing. I think there's nutmeg in the horchata. It's a bit different from others I've had, felt a little gritty in my mouth.

This review is only for the carne asada taco. The meat was simple but good. It's not fancy new age taco but a hearty old school place. Loved the fresh cheese n crème. Would personally skip the guac as it was too tart. Quick service. You can eat your tacos from the truck inside the restaurant.

The "Guadalajara Taco" food truck is located in Oakland's Fruitvale District. A friend took us here saying it's the best taco truck in Oakland. Okay, so I got - 2 Tacos, Carnitas & Chicharron, and 1 Reg Burrito w/ Chicken. I thought my Taco plate had beautiful presentation. The tacos were loaded with tasty fillings, with pickled veggies, peppers, limes and little sauces thrown on top. I really enjoyed the tacos, they were good. The chicken burrito was just okay, I should of asked for sour cream. But the burrito was really HOT (temperature wise) when they handed it to me. They must of either kept it warm on the grill, or they just made it. Limited parking when we were there, so we took our food to-go.....out of that area.

I wanted to try out this taco truck after seeing it on KRON4 Zip Trips to Fruitvale episode. I usually have a favorite taco truck I LOVE going to but decided to give this one a try since people raves about it. I ordered the Al Pastor tacos (usually my go-to meat) and Carne Asada tacos. Both of the flavor were good. The Al Pastor was saucy but not as saucy as my other favorite. The servings were generous and service was good and to the point. The food came out pretty quick. I also ordered a chicken quesadilla for my son - and that i felt like was better than the tacos. There's plenty of parking in this lot and it's hard to miss since it's on the same lot as their restaurant. Pretty chill spot right across from the Fruitvale bart station. Overall, I'm glad I tried it but my #1 still remains my #1.

East bay burrito #9 Initial taste 7/7 Meat 7/7 Beans 7/7 Rice 6/7 Tortilla 7/7 Cheese 7/7 Salsa 7/7 Overall 7/7 rounded up For the better part of the past 20 years, Guadalajara has been my favorite. I've seen prices go from $5 all the up to... actually I don't look anymore, but it's comparable to Bay Area burrito prices now. You can call in nostalgia, but to me, this burrito has everything I want. Except for maybe too much rice and that rice not being amazing. Don't think amazing rice exists, but I hold out hope one day it will.

It's a well-known fact that this area of Fruitvale has killer Mexican food. Located right by BART, the Guadalajara taco truck is legit. They toast their burritos, give you all the fixings, and make meats like pastor super crispy. Bit expensive at $11 a burrito and there's no seating outside, but it's still worth it.
